Orthopedics

Understanding the body’s ability to heal is the core focus of The Greater Wellbeing.

As our bodies age, through the general wear, and tear, of life, we lose strength, and the resilience of our youth. The study of orthopedics has allowed us to understand many of the negative affects of aging on our bodies, be examining our musculoskeletal system.

Our body can be weakened through falls, and other physical trauma, but it doesn’t take anything major. Incorrect posture, bad sleeping habits, or inadequate footwear are examples of things that, over time, amount to real stress, on our bodies. It’s not, just, broken bones that leave marks on our skeleton, joints, and muscles.

When you do have a fracture, an orthopedic specialist can read your x-ray, and determine how to best set the injury, ensuring that it heals straight. After it heals, this is the same person that can design a physical therapy regimen, in order to re-grow that muscle, and work the joint, until it’s as durable, as it ever was.

In some cases, a genetic factor will create issues, despite a healthy lifestyle. If you discover, in your family history, bone decay, arthritis, or osteoporosis, it may be a signal to learn more, before symptoms appear. No one can stop your body from aging, but the negative effects can be greatly diminished.

With the right information, and a trained professional, you can clear up, or avoid, the aches, brittle bones, and pains, that are often associated with aging. By learning how to apply this wealth of knowledge to your health, you will find yourself in proper alignment for longer periods of time, enough to begin to take the benefits for granted.

Your body is sending you a message, with those aches, and pains. Dr. David can identify the source of these symptoms, and help you understand what to do, when you feel this way again. At The Greater Wellbeing, we work with you, to help restore what the years have worn away.
